Fleetwood southwind 37f. Could be a bad strut that is hard to collapse grab the awning while out and try pushing in by hand. Usually the clicking are the gears skipping. If we push the button to extend the awning nothing happens no noise or anything.

If this is hard to do it could be the strut.
